Learn MoreI am Ethiopian Swiss. I went to Switzerland at a time when most people believed Africa was something to leave behind, not invest in. I built businesses. I worked in pharmaceuticals, in insurance. I spent years in the NGO world and in Human Rights ... sitting in rooms at the United Nations, watching diplomats discuss a continent they had never lived in. I saw what was really going on. The truth underneath their words and their policies.
And through all of it ... the building, the fighting, the years of watching Africa's wealth flow in every direction except back to its people ... the same question kept coming back to me: why is it so easy for an Indian, a Lebanese, a Pakistani to go to Africa and build wealth ... but not for an African?
Not because we lack the capital. Not because we lack the intelligence. But because we go without preparation. We have never tried to build a business where we live, in a market we actually know, before jumping into a continent where the rules are different, the systems are unfamiliar, and one wrong move costs everything.
The love Africans in the diaspora carry for where they come from is real and it runs deep. But that same love can become the trap. An Indian businessman going to Africa does not ask himself which country he feels connected to. He asks where the opportunity is, whether the market is stable, whether his capital is protected. He evaluates. Too many of us skip that step entirely ... we go straight to where we were born, pushed by loyalty, by family, by emotion ... and we pay for it with everything we built.
Then I made my own decision. I was going back to my continent. Not to observe, not to comment from the outside ... but to be part of the change I want to see for Africa and for our people. And before I took a single step, I did what I am telling you to do. I went through every necessary step. I evaluated. I reflected. I used everything I had built ... my experience across industries, my years in Human Rights, my understanding of how systems really work ... and I went through the formal study of global banking and finance to make sure I was not walking in blind. I wanted to invest right. And then I realised I could not keep that to myself.
That is exactly what I built Neo Panthers to fix. I bring the perspective of someone who has seen Africa's reality up close ... politically, economically, on the ground ... and who understands how global financial systems, banks, and investment structures work. I put that entirely at the service of one thing: helping you invest in Africa safely, strategically, and with someone by your side who has already done the work.
Africa is full of real, serious, life-changing opportunity. The work is knowing where to look.
